“Unraveling the Allegations: Mahua Moitra and the Bribery Claims”

Mahua Moitra, the current Lok Sabha MP from Krishnagar in West Bengal, has faced serious accusations of accepting cash and valuable gifts from businessman Darshan Hiranandani. These allegations suggest that she may have received these benefits in exchange for posing targeted questions in Parliament that were aimed at the Adani Group.

The Trinamool Congress has chosen to refrain from making any official statements regarding the controversy surrounding Moitra. Kunal Ghosh, the party’s state general secretary, stated in an interview that the party has decided not to comment on the issue and emphasized that it is Moitra’s personal matter to deal with.

Similarly, a senior TMC leader, who preferred not to be identified, informed that the party has decided to distance itself from the dispute and intends to stay away from getting involved in the ongoing arguments.

Recently, Nishikant Dubey, a BJP MP, made severe accusations against Moitra, citing a letter from lawyer Jai Anant Dehadrai. The letter claimed that Moitra had accepted support from Hiranandani in return for raising questions in Parliament. In response, Moitra took legal action and filed a defamation lawsuit against Dubey in the Delhi High Court.

In a legal statement, Hiranandani admitted to providing Moitra with information for her questions and acknowledged receiving information from others about the issue. The situation is currently under investigation, and it is crucial to allow the legal process to unfold and impartially establish the facts.
