“Indian American Voices Support for Israel, Denounces Hamas attack as crime against Humanity”

Israel and Hamas war which has now entered its fourth day. And on Tuesday, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi called Israel Prime minter Benjamin Netanyahu for an update on protracted conflict between Israel and Palestinian conflict. And also  distinguished Indian eminent  group has extended support to the people of Israel , and said that the attack by Hamas militants against innocent civilians in the country is a crime against humanity.

The continued attacks against Israel by Hamas militants from Gaza since Saturday and the succeeding  Israeli retribution have exceeded 2,500 people dead  whereas more than 1200 people has been killed in Israel over 2,800 people has been injured. Whereas over 1055 people were killed now in Gaza and 5183 people were injured till now in these war.

Modi conveyed his support to Mr. Netanyahu, emphasizing India’s solidarity with Israel during this challenging time. As well as  Director of FIIDS(Foundation for India and Indian  Diaspora Studies) Khanderao Kand stated,” A prominent Indian expatriate community has expressed its solidarity with the people of Israel and strongly condemned the actions of Hamas militants, describing their attacks on innocent civilians as a grave violation of human rights”.

FIIDS applauds the bipartisan US House resolution, supported by 392 Representatives, condemning the attack on Israel and expressing support in the ongoing conflict. FIIDS draws a parallel between Hamas actions and the 9/11 attacks, highlighting  the seriousness of the situation.

Kand also focuses on the importance of standing with Israel to prevent Jihadi extremism from succeeding in its mission to destroy peace, urging the world to act against such acts of terror.

Kand views these attacks as a major setback for Middle East peace, with global consequences. They also pose a threat to Israel’s peace and prosperity efforts, particularly the Abraham Accords aimed at normalizing relations with Arab nations.

Indian Americans nationwide are actively participating in Israeli events and collaborating with Israeli groups as a way to demonstrate their unwavering support during this critical period.

The Indian American community’s engagement and support for Israel reflect their concern for peace and stability in the Middle East and their commitment to combatting terrorism.

In a notable development, an Indian scholar at Harvard University criticized Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for not joining a joint statement condemning Hamas. This underscores the global ramifications of the situation and reveals the diverse responses from world leaders..

Their engagement and solidarity not only reflect a commitment to peace but also raise questions about the evolving dynamics in the region. As future events unfold, the Indian diaspora’s role and the impact on international relations will continue to be a subject of interest and concern.
