“Enhancing the Pilgrim Experience: New Digital Offerings Unveiled at Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine”

On the propitious occasion of Maha Ashtami, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha visited the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine, offering prayers for the peace, prosperity, and progress of the UT of Jammu Kashmir. During his visit, the Lt. Governor launched the ‘Live Darshan Facility’ and a Bi-lingual chatbot on the website of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, aimed at better serving the devotees. Additionally, he unveiled a Yatra Guide Book titled ‘The Bhakti of Shakti’ by Rupa Publications, focusing on the Mata Vaishno Devi pilgrimage.

The ‘Live Darshan Facility’ is now accessible on the official website of the Shrine Board, www.maavaishnodevi.org, enhancing the accessibility of the spiritual experience for a larger number of devotees. Furthermore, the newly developed Bi-lingual Interactive Chatbot, named ‘Shakti,’ will operate alongside the 24×7 toll-free helpline, providing reliable information and addressing queries and concerns from pilgrims. This initiative is aimed at helping pilgrims plan their visits efficiently, offering information on services and facilities provided by the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board. The chatbot will also provide audio and video content for increased awareness and real-time updates from the Holy Shrine.

Anshul Garg, the Chief Executive Officer of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, briefed the Lt. Governor on the special arrangements made for devotees during the Navratri festival. Padma Shri Prof. Vishwa Murti Shastri, along with other senior officers of the Shrine Board, were also present to commemorate the occasion.
