“Tragic Passing of Haryana Police Officer Highlights Workout Risks”

Deputy Superintendent Joginder Deswal of the Haryana Police passed away on Monday morning. He was serving as the Deputy Superintendent of the district jail in Panipat at the time of his death. Reports stated that Deswal collapsed while exercising at a gym. The incident occurred around 5 a.m., and despite being rushed to a hospital, he couldn’t be saved. The specific cause of his death is still under investigation.

Deswal had made headlines earlier this year when his son was caught using his ID card to cross a toll plaza by Haryana Police head constable Ashish Kumar, known as Singham, at a toll plaza in Panipat.

The unfortunate incident draws attention to the concerning rise in heart attacks during exercise, even among young individuals under 30. Recent cases include the tragic death of 19-year-old Siddharth Kumar Singh in Ghaziabad, who suffered a cardiac arrest while running on a treadmill, and the passing of 55-year-old Raju Shrivastav in Indore. Dr. Bimal Chhajer, a senior cardiologist, has observed an increase in both young and middle-aged patients with cardiac symptoms, emphasizing the impact of factors such as post-Covid complications, air pollution, and unhealthy lifestyles on heart health.

Experts stress that sudden heart attacks during physical activities can stem from a variety of causes, including underlying health issues, physical strain, and environmental influences. This highlights the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and regular medical check-ups, particularly for those engaging in rigorous exercise routines.
