With increase in price of essential commodities, including food items, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has made a noteworthy change to its Annaprasadam Scheme. This scheme, which provides free food to thousands of devotees visiting the Sri Venkateswara Swami Temple in Tirupati, plays a main role in serving the spiritual community.
The TTD has revised the donation amounts required for one day’s assigned under the Annaprasadam Scheme. Previously set at Rs 33 lakhs, the new assigned amount is now Rs 38 lakhs. This adjustment reflects the increasing costs associated with providing meals to devotees.
Under this revised scheme, donors will see changes in the costs for various meal services. The morning breakfast service for a day will now cost Rs 8 lakhs, up from Rs 6 lakhs, while both lunch and dinner services will cost donors Rs 15 lakhs, previously it cost 10 lakhs
Additionally , those who generously contribute to this noble cause will have their names displayed at the Annaprasadam Complex in Tirumala. As well, donors will have the opportunity to personally serve the food items to the worshiper visiting the temple on the designated day.
It is reassurement to witness the continued support and contributions to this cause, which ensures that pilgrims visiting the temple receive nourishment and spiritual comfort.
