A recent all-party meeting held in Maharashtra, Political Parties intensively passed a resolution to maintain law and order in the state. The resolution appealed to Manoj Jarange Patil to withdraw his fast , while highlighting the commitment of all parties to provide reservation to the Maratha community.
However, the situation remains tense as internet services remain suspended in Jalna district following violent protests that saw the torching of houses belonging to NCP and BJP MLAs, along with property destruction. Manoj Jarange Patil, a well known figure in the Maratha concern , has warned of staging a sit-in protest if the government harasses any Maratha youth. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has promised legal action against those responsible for the violence.
Maharashtra’s Chief Minister, Eknath Shinde, assured that all political parties stand with the state government in providing Maratha reservation within the legal framework and without causing injustice to other communities. He also ask for peace and cooperation from the public.
The all-party meeting also called on activist Manoj Jarange to end his indefinite fast and collaborate with the government in securing Maratha reservation. A committee of retired judges and the Backward Class Commission are working to address the issue swiftly.
As the state struggle with these challenges, the main objective is to find a balanced and lawful solution that addresses the Maratha community’s demands while maintaining peace and social harmony in Maharashtra.
