“Telangana Authorities Seize Over 100 Crore Rupees During Election Enforcement”

In the last week in Telangana, authorities have been actively implementing the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) to uphold ethical conduct during the elections. Their actions led to the confiscation and recovery of over 100 crore Indian Rupees, with Sunday’s operations alone resulting in the retrieval of items valued at 25.8 crore rupees, contributing to a total of 109.11 crore Rupees recovered.

The Election Commission of India (ECI) reported seizing 59 crore Rupees in cash, along with valuables like gold, silver, and diamonds worth approximately 33.6 crore rupees. Confiscations also included alcoholic beverages valued at 6.64 crore Rupees and a significant quantity of ganja worth about 2.97 crore rupees. Other seized items, such as laptops, vehicles, pressure cookers, sarees, and rice bags, were collectively estimated to be worth around 6.8 crore rupees throughout the week.

Notably, the city police found and confiscated over 3 crore Rupees in cash from various locations within the city during vehicle checks on Sunday. Additionally, in the Karimnagar district, authorities seized 2.36 crore Rupees in cash from a company involved in financial transactions, as the company failed to provide proper documentation for the amount in their possession.

Furthermore, the Election Commission has issued instructions for vigilance against activities like covert advertising, paid news, and social media manipulations, highlighting the need for strict monitoring to ensure a fair and transparent electoral process.
