Tragic train collision occurred in Bangladesh on October 23, leaving at least 20 people dead and over 100 injured. The collision took place in the eastern city of Bhairab when a loaded train collided with a passenger train, causing significant damage and disruption.
The accident takes place when a loaded train, route to Chattogram, struck the rear coaches of the Dhaka-bound Egarosindur Godhuli Express. This lead to two passenger carriages to crash, resulting in a significant loss of life and numerous injuries.

Government administrator Sadiqur Rahman, who was present at the scene, reported that 20 bodies had been recovered, with many more individuals suffer injuries. Additionally ,Officials said that the death toll could rise further as the rescue and recovery efforts continued.
Local residents, members of the fire service, and law enforcement agencies joined forces to launch a rapid rescue Operation. Television footage captured the scene, where rescuers worked tirelessly to extract injured passengers from the wreckage. One of the carriages was left shattered and reverse, highlighting the severity of the collision.
The impact of the accident result in the suspension of train communications between Dhaka and the eastern region of the country, causing significant disruptions in transportation. Nazmul Islam, a senior officer at the railway department, mentioned that a rescue train had been dispatched from Dhaka to assist with the situation.
Until now authorities has said they are investigating the cause of the accident.
