'Wankhede's Iconic Hero Forever'

A big statue of the famous Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has been revealed at the famous Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai  just before India’s upcoming cricket match against Sri Lanka in the World Cup. The statue is placed next to the Sachin Tendulkar Stand inside the stadium and shows Sachin in a pose that looks like he’s hitting the ball with a straight drive  which is one of his signature cricket shots. This statue is a way to honored and remember his great contributions to Indian cricket.

During the event, many important and respected people were there. This included Jay Shah  who is the secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)  Eknath Shinde  who is the Chief Minister of Maharashtra  and Rajeev Shukla who is the Vice-President of the BCCI. They all came to show their support.

The statue was created by Pramod Kamble who is a well-known artist and sculptor from Ahmednagar a district in the state of Maharashtra. He’s the one who designed and made the statue to look like Sachin Tendulkar.

India, led by Rohit Sharma, is going to play their seventh match in the ICC World Cup and they will be facing Sri Lanka. This match is happening on November 2 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Before this match, there was a special event at the Wankhede Stadium. They unveiled a statue of the cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar and it was a big moment for cricket fans. The Mumbai Cricket Association is the one that put up the statue in honored of Sachin Tendulkar.

Sachin Tendulkar the famous cricketer was at the event with his wife Anjali Tendulkar and their daughter Sara Tendulkar. The Chief Minister of the area Eknath Shinde, along with NCP President Sharad Pawar and BCCI Treasurer Ashish Shelar also attended.

They unveiled a complete statue of Sachin, showing him playing his favourite shot and it’s placed near the Sachin Tendulkar Stand in Wankhede Stadium. A talented sculptor named Pramod Kamble designed this statue.

Sachin Tendulkar achieved amazing scores in cricket with 15,921 runs in Test matches and 18,426 runs in One-Day Internationals (ODIs) during his cricket career.
