“Fatal Minibus Crash in Bavaria: A Grim Reminder of the Dangers of Illegal Migration”
Seven people, including a child, were killed and several others were injured in a minibus crash in Bavaria, Germany.
The minibus, carrying 23 people and believed to be filled with migrants, attempted to evade a German road check near the Austrian-German border. The vehicle flipped over multiple times before coming to rest on its side. Authorities suspect a “people smuggler” was driving the minibus and have initiated a criminal investigation into the incident.
The victims are believed to be Syrian and Turkish nationals, with the driver described as “stateless.” Some of the injured are in serious condition, including children.’
Federal Interior Minister Nancy Faeser expressed shock over the incident, emphasizing the dangers and inhumanity associated with people smuggling and extending her sympathy to the victims and their families, particularly the children involved.
Driver of a vehicle tried to avoid stopped by police at road checkpoint. However, the driver was unable to maintain the control of the vehicle and this happened near the Ampfing in Bavaria.
The vehicles had an Austrian licence plate, and the driver accelerated the van with 180km/hr after several time on A94 motorway between the Austrian border and Munich the van rolled over multiple times at a junction, in this accident 7 peoples died and 16 are injured. Police noticed that accident at about 3.15 am and the driver has been arrested.
