On October 13, in Kathirur near Kannur, two men, identified as Abhilash (37) and Shaijesh (36), lost their lives in a tragic accident involving a CNG-powered autorickshaw.
The autorickshaw collided with a private bus and subsequently overturned, resulting in a fire that claimed the lives of both occupants. Witnesses reported that the fire from the CNG cylinder engulfed the autorickshaw quickly, preventing any immediate intervention from the locals.
Despite the efforts of the Fire Force, the flames were extinguished too late, and the police had to shift the bodies to a nearby hospital. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of stringent safety measures, especially when dealing with vehicles that run on alternative fuel sources like CNG.
The community mourns the loss of the two victims and extends condolences to their families and friends during this difficult time.
