The BJP disclosed its fifth list of candidates, displaying the 92 names for the upcoming Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections. Party has selected 228 candidates out off 230 seats in state Assembly.
Some significant changes include the dropping of several sitting MLAs, including Akash Vijayvargiya, son of Kailash Vijayvargiya, and the nomination of Rakesh Golu Shukla in his place for the Indore-3 constituency.
The list includes 12 women candidates, with former state ministers Maya Singh and Archana Chitnis among them. Additionally, incumbent minister Usha Thakur has been renominated from the Mhow seat.
Other notable candidates in the list are former state ministers Jayant Malaiya, Surendra Patwa, and Mahendra Singh Sisodia, who are contesting from different constituencies.
State minister Gaurishanker Bisen has been replaced by his daughter Mausam Bisen in the Balaghat constituency.
The Madhya Pradesh assembly polls are set to take place on November 17, with the counting of votes scheduled for December 3.
