Sanjay Raut, a member of the Shiv Sena (UBT), responded to Eknath Shinde’s recent remarks about the party’s alliances, stating that Shinde himself is akin to Hamas. Raut rebutted Shinde’s comments, emphasizing that terrorist organizations like Hamas and Lashkar-e-Taiba hold no significance in Maharashtra. Raut further suggested that it was the BJP that had influenced Shinde’s perspective.
Raut highlighted the contrast between Shinde’s speech and the usual Dussehra rallies conducted by the Shiv Sena, emphasizing that the party traditionally focuses on national issues and people’s welfare. Raut also criticized Shinde for aligning with BJP’s agenda rather than upholding the principles of the Shiv Sena.
In his Dussehra speech, Shinde questioned the Shiv Sena (UBT)’s partnership with Akhilesh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party, referring to a past incident involving the use of force against karsevaks. Notably, this year, Thackeray and Shinde, who lead different factions of the Shiv Sena, organized separate Dussehra rallies in Mumbai, marking a significant split in the party’s history.
