“Alert, Mumbai! Central Railway Announces 5-Hour Power Block this Sunday”
'Prepare for Scheduled Disruptions as Vital Maintenance Work Ensues'
the Central Railway in Mumbai is going to stop train services between Titwala and Kasara stations for five hours. This will happen from 12:30 pm on Saturday the 28th, until 5:30 am on Sunday the 29th. This pause in train services will cause problems for both local and long-distance trains. Some train schedules will change and a few local trains might even get cancelled. This will likely inconvenience passengers during this time. The reason for all of this is to do important maintenance work on the train tracks and infrastructure.
They’re going to use big cranes to put a bridge between Umbarmali and Kasara stations and another bridge girder between Asangaon and Aathgaon stations. This work will take place at night when train services are stopped. They’re also going to build a wide pedestrian bridge at Kasara station which will help people cross the tracks safely.
They’re doing some work on the signal system between Khadvali and Vasind stations to keep everything running smoothly. The train that usually departs from Asangaon at 6:11 am on Sundays will leave from Kalyan station instead. Train services between Titwala and Kasara stations will be completely stopped during this time. So people traveling on this route will need to find alternative transportation or adjust their plans accordingly.
Some train services on Saturday night have been cancelled at 10:50 pm and 12:15 pm. There are morning train services from 5:28 am and 6:11 am from Kalyan to CSMT (Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus) and from Asangaon to CSMT. There are morning train services from 3:51 am and 4:59 am from Kasara to CSMT. are Saturday night train services at 9:32 pm and 10:00 pm from CSMT to Kasara (and up to Kalyan).
Additionally, there are Sunday night train services from 7:03 pm from Kalyan to Kasara and from 6:10 pm from Kasara to Kalyan.
These are likely local train schedules for a specific route providing information about when the trains are running and when certain services have been cancelled.
During a specific period, the timing of several long-distance Mail-Express trains has been changed. Train no. 12141 LTT-PATLIPUTRA EXPRESS used to depart at 4 AM, but its departure time has been modified. Train no. 11057 CSMT-Amritsar Express used to leave at 4.10 AM but now it departs at a different time. Train no. 12811 LTT-Hatia Express used to depart at 4.30 AM, but this time has been adjusted. Train no. 22177 CSMT-Varanasi Mahanagari Express used to leave at 4.20 AM but its departure time has been changed. Train no. 22538 LTT-Gorakhpur Kushinagar Express was originally scheduled to depart at 4.45 AM but its departure time has been altered.
As a result of these timing changes, several Mail-Express trains heading towards Mumbai will experience delays and may be stopped for a few hours at stations like Igatpuri and Bhusawal. This means that if you were planning to catch one of these trains during the mentioned period, you should check the updated schedule to avoid any inconvenience caused by these delays.
