This accident happened when one passenger train collided with another in the Vizianagaram district between Alamanda and Kantakpalle. There has been a major train accident in Andhra Pradesh specifically in Vizianagaram. A police official SP Deepika has informed ANI that six people have tragically lost their lives and 18 others have been injured in this incident.
The accident occurred when the train, traveling from Visakhapatnam (Visakha) to Raigad, derailed at a location called Kothavalsa Alamanda-Kantakapalli.
Authorities and rescue teams have arrived at the scene to help those affected, and they are currently conducting rescue operations to assist the injured and deal with the situation.

The Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) will provide financial support. Families of those who lost their lives will receive Rs 2 lakh, and the injured will receive Rs 50,000.
Prime Minister Modi also talked with the Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and was informed about the serious train accident in Andhra Pradesh.
