“Indian Prime Minister Modi and Egyptian President El-Sisi Discuss West Asia Crisis”

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged in a telephonic conversation with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, during which the two leaders exchanged their concerns about the increase security and humanitarian crisis in West Asia.

Prime Minister Modi  shared comprehension with President El-Sisi regarding terrorism, violence, and the loss of civilian lives in the region. The discussion involved mainly about Israel- Gaza war resulting the severe impact on the lives of civilians and the overall security of the region.

Egypt’s Presidential Spokesman, Counselor Ahmed Fahmy, confirmed President El-Sisi’s commitment to coordinating regional and international efforts to ease a ceasefire. The Egyptian President cautioned against the terrible humanitarian and security result  of a ground offensive in the Gaza Strip.

Both the leader focuses on the critical need for unified international action to find a diplomatic solution that would lead to an immediate humanitarian pause. This pause aims to protect civilian lives and enable the uncontrolled  delivery of humanitarian assistance to the Gaza Strip, in line with a United Nations General Assembly resolution adopted on October 27.

Additionally, President El-Sisi and Prime Minister Modi highlighted the strength of their bilateral relations and Strategic Partnership. They expressed their determination to continue to promote the cooperation between Egypt and India, focusing on the importance of further strengthening ties between the two nations.
