Mukesh Ambani, the Chairman of Reliance Industries, one of India’s largest subsidiaries, has been targeted by an anonymous person who has sent a series of threat emails demanding a grand sum of Rs 400 crore. These raised concerns about the safety and security of one of India’s most remarkable business figures.
This began when Reliance Industries received the first threat email on Friday, seeking a price of Rs 20 crore. This raised a question about the company’s security in-charge to file a complaint with the Gamdevi police station, leading to the registration of a FIR. The situation speed up on October 27, Saturday when another email arrived, this time demanding a significantly larger sum of Rs 200 crore. The seriousness of the situation became even more obvious when the third threat email arrived on Monday, with the sender doubling the demand to Rs 400 crore.
The Mumbai police, along with their Crime branch and Cybercrime units, have rapidly taken action to trace the sender of these threatening emails. The authorities are treating this matter with the utmost seriousness, recognizing the potential danger it poses to Mr. Mukesh Ambani and his company.
In response to these threats, it has been reported that Reliance Industries has tighten its security measures to protect its Chairman and the organization itself. Personal security details and Cybersecurity teams are likely on high alert to ensure Mr. Ambani’s safety and the integrity of the company’s sensitive information.
