“Rohit Sharma Confident in Shubman Gill’s Return for India-Pakistan World Cup Showdown, Despite Dengue Setback”

The statement of Indian captain Rohit Sharma state that, “the young opening batsman in the Indian cricket team Shubman Gill is able to play in the World Cup 2023 match against Pakistan on 14 October”.

It appears that Indian captain Rohit Sharma has provided an update on the status of Shubman Gill’s availability for the World Cup 2023 match against Pakistan on 14th October. According to Sharma, there is a high probability, around 99 percent, that Gill will be fit and ready to participate in the match. However, there remains a small doubt, represented by the remaining 1 percent, presumably due to Gill’s recovery from dengue.

Despite suffering from dengue and potentially missing India’s first two World Cup matches, where Ishan Kishan played as the second opening batter with captain Rohit Sharma, there is a chance that Gill will join the Indian cricket team for practice sessions. Gill has previously received the ‘Player of the Month’ award in January and the ‘ICC Men’s Player of the Month’ award twice in 2023, marking a significant achievement for him. This opportunity presents Gill with a chance to play in his first ODI World Cup matches.

It’s noteworthy that Gill is looking forward to playing the match at the Narendra Modi Stadium, which is also the home ground for his IPL team. It seems that the anticipation and excitement are building for both Gill and the fans as the match approaches.
